ToggleAfter the long limited-overs series, the visiting captain Virat Kohli & his team took a day off of their tight schedule and explored the beauty of New Zealand. The entire team was seen strolling around the Blue Spring as the other red-ball specialists from India have joined him too. Kohli used the opportunity to spend quality time with his beloved wife and Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma.
Ever since the tour kicked off, things have been intense for the players. And the day off before the important practice game would help the Indian cricketers to properly rest and make the most out of the impending practice match.
Virat Kohli chills with Anushka Sharma and his teammates ahead of Test series:
The BCCI took to its Twitter handle to post the pictures regarding the beautiful trip to Putaruru. However, the board missed posting the picture of the India skipper Virat Kohli. After the board uploaded the picture, the Indian bowler Mohammad Shami had also uploaded a picture from the day off.
The picture shared by Shami had both Kohli and Anushka posing along with the young pacer Navdeep Saini.

After the one-sided ODI series, India and New Zealand will face in the red-ball format:
Coming back to the game, India is currently at the top of the points table with 360 points in the World Test Championship. India have accomplished the position with the victorious home series and the West Indies series held last year.
However, the team does not have a good record in Test cricket overseas.
In 2018, India lost to South Africa whereas Sri Lanka and England were able to clinch Test series wins. A few months after the South Africa tour, India were thrashed by 4-1 in England.
Apart from the Australia Test series that Kohli & his men won, India hasn’t won many Test assignments.

And with the disastrous ODI series, the visiting India will have to make the needed comeback in the two-Test games. While India faced the tragedy of not having Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma by their side, Kohli’s struggling performance had disappointed his fans in the three ODIs.
Test specialists Cheteshwar Pujara, Umesh Yadav, Wriddhiman Saha, and Ravichandran Ashwin have joined the team ahead of the Test series.
And, now all is left is for Indian cricketers to monitor their game and oppositions in the practice session commencing from February 14.
