Just like every other time, Australian media’s habit of degrading players will not go away. After losing yet another away series, they have started their campaign against the opposition.
Australian media labelled the Indian captain as a “Classless and “Egomaniac” for his statement about Australians are no longer his friend.
Earlier, Virat in a media address said he thought on field things remains only in the ground but after this series, he doesn’t consider Australians as his friend.
Sydney’s Daily Telegraph claimed Virat Kohli’s reaction kiddish after he snubbed the offer from opponents to go have some beer. Reportedly, the Australian cricket team asked team India to have a beer after the fourth Test match which Virat Kohli refused.
Telegraph went on to say that, “Virat Kohli had to shake hands and move on after a series win but he acted like a child.”
They also called Virat Kohli an “Egomaniac”.
In other newspapers, They hailed Steve Smith for his apologetic behaviour and said,
“All Virat had to do was to say sorry and move on like Steve Smith did”.
Virat Kohli’s behaviour was compared to what Steve Smith did just before the end of the fourth test, where he called Murali Vijay “F*****g cheat” for claiming a catch which was just centimetres away from the ground.
