ToggleVirat Kohli’s aggressive nature is evident to cricket fanatics across the globe. Whenever he is on the field, Kohli always had a banter with the opposition players. But in the ongoing Test series against New Zealand, he has been noticed with poised nature and also at the different press conferences, he has hailed Kane Williamson led side as ‘nice’ unit. Moreover, he was seen spending time with Williamson beyond the boundary, to have an interesting chat during the recently-held limited-overs series.
Well, when the pressure was right on the Indian team, on the second day of the second Test match at Hagley Oval, Kohli couldn’t control his aggression after New Zealand started losing their wickets. His all past ‘good’ talks about the hosts took the back seat on Saturday.
In Christchurch, the second day started with New Zealand resuming with their overnight score of 63 for no loss with Ton Latham and Tom Blundell building strong partnership before it was broken by speedster, Umesh Yadav.
Jasprit Bumrah bags big fish Kane Williamson:
Firstly, Blundell lost his wicket to Umesh after adding just three runs to Kiwis tally. Then, Jasprit Bumrah accounted for the most precious wicket of the Black Caps’ skipper Kane Williamson.
More importantly, it was the first wicket for Bumrah in the second Test match.
Angry Virat Kohli abuses Kane Williamson:
Thus, the celebration from the Indian skipper was intense as it was a mix of joy and frustration respectively as expletives filled the Christchurch air.
It unfolded when Williamson got the edge of the bat and the ball flew to the right of wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant before settling well in his gloves. And, as soon as Pant pouched the catch, Kohli begins the wild celebration for the prized scalp of Williamson.
With the flow of the moment, Kohli had used cuss words against Williamson, who quietly trudged off the ground.
