Celebrities play a crucial part in the time of crises. As India is hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic, the big stars contribute a major part in creating awareness among the fans through various mediums. Indian captain Virat Kohli did the same. He with his wife Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma posted videos to follow the guidelines to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Earlier this week, the Indian government announced the lockdown of the entire country for 21 days. The lockdown will adversely affect the poor section of society, especially, who are daily wage workers as now they have no source of income.
Unlike others, Indian cricketers have not donated money to support the families at the time of need.
The fans are pointing fingers on big cricketers including Virat Kohli while urging them to help the needy. While some are thrashing the cricketers or not donating money to the needy during the testing times.
Citing the examples of other sports personalities who have made generous donations, the fans tore Virat Kohli apart for his non-action.
Recently, MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar have donated funds to help those who are struggling amid lockdown in the country.
Here are some of the reactions on Twitter as fans asked Virat Kohli to donate money amid Coronavirus pandemic:
I don’t care what @imVkohli fans say. He has endorsements worth $20 mn and salary $4 mn. What’s he done for fighting Corona? Nothing. (Love to know if he has.)
Stuart Broad has a salary of $0.8 mn and is worth $70 mn but he’s converting his pubs into grocery centers.

The country needs financial help. You are such a big player, you cannot do anything for the country, just learn something from Ronaldo except sports.
