The Indian captain Virat Kohli registered his lowest tally in the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, which India lost 0-3. Kohli could only manage 75 runs in the three matches at 25 and thus lost 17 points in the rankings. This was Kohli’s worse ever three-match series. The right-hander is still at the numero uno position but now has 869 points under his belt. Furthermore, Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma has lost 13 points as he missed the series due to injury.

On the other hand, India’s ace paceman Jasprit Bumrah went wicketless in the three-match ODI series. Thus, Bumrah has lost his numero uno position in the ICC ODI bowlers rankings. This was the first time when a wicket evaded Bumrah in a three-match series. New Zealand premier pacer Trent Boult who missed the series due to injury has now claimed the top position in the bowler’s rankings.
