Former Australian skipper Ian Chappell thinks that Virat Kohli should lead Indi in One-Day Internationals. Kohli was appointed captain of Indian Test team after Dhoni retired during India’s tour of Australia 2014-2015.Kohli has won a test series in Sri-Lanka, which was last done in 1993. Chappell in an interview to ESPNcricinfo, said that doing captaincy in Test cricket and 50-Over cricket is quite similar, if they want MS Dhoni to keep playing ODI for India, it’s fine, he doesn’t have any problem with that but he really think it’s best in interest of India that Virat should be captain of both Test  and ODI.

Chappell added to this that one gets better as a captain when he does this job. Everyone make mistakes while being captain but they learn from it and progress as one. So if they have made Virat as captain of the longest form of the game, it won’t hurt him captaining in the 50 over game.

Former Indian fast bowler Ajit agarkar also was critical about Dhoni. He said that Dhoni has been a great player for India but he needs to perform a lot better than he has been performing for India. Just because he has performed well in the past , it doesn’t mean it’s okay for him to fail now.
