In the fifth T20I match, the Men in Blue played without major players. Virat Kohli being rested, Rohit Sharma got injured between the innings. Thus, skipper and his deputy being out of the game, KL Rahul was handed over the duty to led the team at the Bay Oval.
However, the changes didn’t halt India to win the game against Kiwis. Indian skipper Kohli was delighted with the effort of the youngsters in the final T20I on Sunday.
Virat Kohli proud of Team India for maintaining the winning streak against New Zealand:
After winning the series, Kohli opined that he feels proud of Team India, and is happy to see the way his side has won the series. Also, he praised the young guns who put in a lot of effort to clean sweep the series. He said that this win will set an example for the upcoming youngsters who’re waiting in the wings.
“All of us are really proud of the way we’ve played this series. I think the conversation we had was to always look to find ways to win. When it comes out, it feels nice.”

“You don’t want to see what happened to Rohit, but there were all these young guys playing well and handling the pressure. That gives me a lot of pleasure watching from the outside and they will take this momentum going forward for many years. Basically it is all about laying the vision in front of the boys, the way you think, prepare. The guys are taking notice of it and they realize that the team needs 120% from them every time.”
Kane Williamson is the perfect captain: Virat Kohli
Kohli also showered praises on New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson. Kohli feels that Williamson is the perfect captain for Blackcaps.

“Despite what the scoreline suggests, I feel that New Zealand cricket is in the best hands and he is the right guy to lead this team. He is the perfect, perfect man to lead them. I wish him the best of luck and power to lead this side in the future. They are a side everyone loves to watch and play against.”
Meanwhile, after losing the T20I series, New Zealand will surely head like to learn from their glaring mistakes ahead of the three-match ODI series starting from 5th February.
