Indian star batsman Virat Kohli is enjoying the season of his life as he breaks yet another record which was unthinkable by a cricketer. The young Delhi player now has 30 million fans in Facebook and is also the first cricketer ever to reach the milestone in the world’s largest social media network.
Virat Kohli who has been the backbone of Indian batting since the retirement of Sachin Tendulkar has been an active personality on social media and has earned the plaudits of all Indian fans for his performances over the past few years.
The player now has surpassed the legendary Sachin Tendulkar (27 million) and has moved much ahead of India’s limited overs skipper MS Dhoni (18 million) and Yuvraj Singh (12 million) in the Facebook fan base.
The 27-year old has been in superficial form as he carried Indian batting almost single-handedly this year as he resembled Sachin Tendulkar of the late 90s. Kohli was declared Man of the tournament in T20 World Cup 2016 back in April and continued his sublime form to IPL where he pounced on opposition bowlers as he managed an unbelievable 973 runs in a single IPL record.
Apart from on-field form, Virat Kohli is having an awesome off-field life as well as he got reunited with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and if rumors are to be believed, the pair will soon get engaged which adds more to an already amazing 2016 to him.
The player is currently given rest by BCCI as an important away tour to West Indies is about to start next month and a long home series awaits the test captain of India.
The player has become a brand in India and it would be very difficult for any other cricketer to beat him at least on Facebook in the upcoming years as his image seems to grow only big as time goes.
