Australia vs India 2020-21: Watch Virat Kohli’s Responds To ‘Miss You MS Dhoni’ Poster In Sydney

Although MS Dhoni retired from international cricket, still millions of Indian fans want him to come back and don the national jersey. And even Team India’s current captain Virat Kohli also misses him. During the second T20I match against Australia in Syndey, a couple of fans brought ‘we miss you MS Dhoni’ posters and it captivated Kohli’s attraction, whose reaction has won the hearts of netizens on social media.

MS Dhoni last played for India in the disheartening semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against New Zealand where the former Indian captain scored a half-century but it could not help India to clinch the place in the grand finale. Since then, the wicketkeeper-batsman made himself unavailable for the series and took time to enjoy with his family. And on 15 August 2020, he shocked everyone with his retirement announcement.

On last Sunday (6th December), during the first innings of 2nd T20I at Sydney, when Kohli came for fielding near the rope, he got hold of the ‘we miss you MS Dhoni’ poster and he reacted by gestures that he also misses one of the best finishers of the cricket world.

Watch here is the reaction of Virat Kohli to a fan’s poster:

Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni have had a great rapport on and off the field. Over the years, Kohli has acknowledged the mentor role that Dhoni played after the former took over as captain of the senior national team. Kohli was appointed as India’s Test captain after Dhoni retired from the longest format of the game at the end of 2014. The Delhi batsman took over the reins in the limited-overs format in 2019.

Meanwhile, after losing the ODI series, India has clinched victory in the T20I series in the ongoing Australia tour by winning back to back first two T20Is. As they are yet to play the last T20I, they will look to clean sweep Australia in the shorter format which will give them a boost for the all-important Test series.
