One more decade has gone down in the cricket world with seeing some legends retiring from the game while some talented new youngsters have marked their entrance and are achieving great heights. One of them is the living legend Virat Kohli, who made the International debut in 2008 and at the end of the decade has become one of the best players in the cricket world. The Indian skipper shared the picture comparing his start of the decade to the end of the decade.

The transformation of Virat Kohli from physically to mentally is tremendous. When he started as a young player, he was an energetic and more aggressive player. Though he is now also aggressive, he has developed maturity in his game. The quality, which is unchanged, is his ambitious attitude as a player. His desire for success has led the Men in Blue to remain consistent and win the games all over the world.

On social media, Virat Kohli shared his transition in the last decade. He posted the two pictures, one from the start of the decade and the other being his current picture.

He captioned: “Started from them flip flops, now we here!”

Virat Kohli has grown up as one of the successful Indian captains

In 2011, Virat Kohli played the first Test match and was handed over the vice-captaincy in 2012. The sudden Test retirement of MS Dhoni at the end of 2014 made Virat Kohli the Test captain. In January 2017, he was also announced as the limited-overs captain. Now, he is the most successful Indian Test captain, surpassing the most wins record of MS Dhoni.

Kohli is the one to spread the awareness of fitness in the Indian national cricket team. Under his captaincy, the Yo-Yo test was introduced in the Indian team to maintain the fitness level.

Now, Virat Kohli has the big task the new year to bring the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 trophy at home.
