There is absolutely no stopping Virender Sehwag. Not a single day passes without him wishing cricketers on their birthdays in his unique and exclusive style. Never the one to hold back his words, Sehwag’s witty posts on twitter are as entertaining as his batting during his playing days.
Sehwag’s latest birthday wish was for New Zealand batting sensation Kane Williamson. The newly-appointed New Zealand skipper is making big strides in the game. The right-handed batsman has scored 3,666 runs in just 93 ODI matches at an outstanding average of 47 and has hit 7 centuries. His record in Test cricket is even much better where he has scored 4128 runs at an impressive average of over 49 in 49 matches. Williamson showed a glimpse of his immense potential to the cricketing world when he hit a century on his debut against India at Ahmedabad.
Currently playing a Test series in Zimbabwe, Williamson set a world record in the second Test at Bulawayo. He became the youngest – and quickest – batsman to score Test centuries against each Test playing nations. He scored 113 during the innings and helped his team to post a mammoth total of 582 for 4.
Wishing him on his 26th birthday, Sehwag said:”Hpy Bday to a special player,Kane Williamson.B4 turning 26 today,he already has made a century against all test playing nations.Ab,kya karoge?(What else will you do?)”
Williamson reached the mark in 91innings to surpass Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara, who needed 114 innings and 69 tests to complete his collection.Williamson joined the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara and Steve Waugh in the exclusive list.
