BCCI facilitated Virender Sehwag at Feroz Shah Kotla before the start of the fourth and final Test between India and South Africa today (December 3, 2015).

Sehwag hung his boot after BCCI ignored him from the home Test series against South Africa. Sehwag played the All-Star Cricket league in the USA with many legends of the game. He showed a glimpse of trademark Viru shots.

Now on the day of facilitation by BCCI Sehwag said, “I had chances to break Brian Lara’s record of 400. That is one thing one wished I had done.”

Sehwag was facilitated by BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur.

Sehwag talking about his best career moment said, “If there is one most memorable moment for me, it’s my Test hundred on debut.”

In the foggy morning at Feroz Shah Kotla, DDCA joined BCCI after a long time of no response. Sehwag is no doubt the greatest ever cricketer Delhi has ever seen.

The former explosive batsman pleased as DDCA and BCCI have honoured him. “I thank BCCI and DDCA honoring me at Kotla,” Sehwag said.

Sehwag talking about first triple ton in Multan in 2004 against Pakistan said it was nothing but “luck” has played all role. “Luck is important to make triple tons”, the veteran batsman, who has signed for Master Cricket League (MCL) as an icon player, stated.

Sehwag also wants his children to become a cricketer. He revealed that he has promised his children a Ferrari if they break his highest Test total in any level of cricket. “I have promised my kids a Ferrari car if they break my 319 at any level,” he said.

Sehwag recently left Delhi Ranji team and played  a few matches for Haryana. After he chose Haryana DDAC was annoyed with his decision.

Recently Sehwag said he is ready to take any responsibility if BCCI asks him to do.

Sehwag, recently, in an India TV show said that he is disappointed as Indian selectors did not give him the farewell match. Sehwag wanted to take retirement playing at Feroz Shah Kotla.
