Former Indian cricketer, Virender Sehwag paid homage to the martyrs who were killed in an ambush by Pakistani terrorist group Jaish e Mohammad in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri town, close to Line of Control (LOC). The weapons they used have Pakistani markings, said the Indian Army.
The attack claimed 17 Indian army jawans on 18th September at 5.30 am. The reason behind this heavy causalities is the terrorist group backed by Pakistani Rangers attacked the tent.
Army also found AK-47 at the tent.
Army vows to give Pakistan a fitting reply, but Indian government yet to give a strong message to the Pakistani authority. Indian government wants a measured action while army wants to give Pakistani a full-throttled reply.
Ambush by the fidiyan squad on Indian army tent happened often. But, Indian army had to keep quite because Indian government is not in a condition to go to a war. Everybody in the government paid homage, but they are yet to find something which will not cost a soldier life at the border.
Cricket Virender Sehwag in tweet message said, “17 lives. They had a family, they had a son, they had a daughter. They were serving our motherland. Pains to see this.”
The United States and the United Kingdom showed their support to India.
