Virender Sehwag And Piers Morgan Finally Bury The Hatchet
Jan 1, 2017 at 11:49 PM
Remember the never-ending war of words between British journalist Piers Morgan and Virender Sehwag on Twitter? The duo, it seems, has finally buried the hatchet between them.
The infamous fight between the two began when the British journo took a dig at India’s performance in Olympics. They remained quiet for some days before getting involved in the heated exchange again during the Kabaddi World Cup. It all started when Sehwag took to Twitter to congratulate India for their win over England the tournament. The matter turned ugly when Morgan tried to correct Sehwag’s English and saying that Kabaddi was not a game.
But the duo, it seems, have moved on and are looking to start afresh in the new year. One of the most active cricketers on Twitter, Sehwag, on new year’s eve, posted a tweet asking his millions of followers to write about their best moments with him in 2016.
Tweet the best moments you had with me this year. How did I contribute to joy in your life ?

As expected, the followers were quick to respond to Sehwag’s tweet but one reply that caught everyone’s attention was that of Morgan. Given the history between the two, more or less everyone was surprised to see the outspoken journalist thanking Sehwag for making him a trending topic on the social media.
He tweeted:“You got me trending in India for days & 1000s of new followers. Thanks mate.”
In reply, the former Indian opener tweeted:“Cheers! India has a big heart . Enjoy !”
