Wahab Riaz, the left-arm fast bowler, is certainly not the most liked character in Pakistan at the moment. His lack of form and breakdown against India at Edgbaston in the opening game of the Champions Trophy has made him a piece of troll on the social media.

Since injuring his ankle during the clash against India, he has been out of the frame. The fans, however, were in relief when the underperforming cricketer was ruled out and Junaid Khan was brought in.

However, an unknown individual had a pretty strange yet awesome idea in his mind. He put up Wahab for sale on e-commerce site eBay!

The seller, who turns out to be Australian, described him as “used” and states that he “bought Wahab in 2008 hoping he could win matches for Pakistan”. The fast bowler made his international debut that year.

The product description was funny.

“He can intimidate Shane Watson but can’t get them out”.

“Some wear and tear. Hairy”.
“Would make a good paper weight or garden gnome”.

The user says that he was “selling it as I have upgraded to the Junaid Khan model”.

EBay has removed Riaz from the sale. But, funnily, Wahab attracted close to 50 bids. The highest of which was a bid for 610 Australian dollars.

Meanwhile, Pakistan recovered brilliantly from the setback and have stunned England last night to reach the final of the Champions Trophy.

Pakistani bowlers produced a stellar performance to restrict the formidable England batting line-up to 211. The star with the ball was once again pacer Hasan Ali, who ended up with a three-wicket haul for the third time in as many games.

The chase was smoothly carried out by opener Azhar Ali and Fakhar Zaman who put up 118 for the opening wicket. Mohammad Hafeez and Babar Azam later guided the chase after the duo’s departure and finished the match with 8 wickets to spare. They will now meet either India or Bangladesh in the finals.
