Warwickshire Signs Victorian Fast Bowler Ryan Sidebottom
Aug 4, 2017 at 5:50 PM
Former Victorian fast bowler Ryan Sidebottom has been signed by Warwickshire on a deal until the end of the season. It should be learnt that the fast bowler doesn’t have any relation to former England left-arm pacer Ryan Sidebottom. He has been on trial with Edgbaston’s 2nd string team.
Sidebottom has been playing for Birmingham and District Premier League champions Berkswell and will continue to don their colours. Sports Director Ashley Giles said that he was a valuable addition.
“He is a valuable addition to our fast bowling ranks,” Giles was quoted as saying by the BBC Sport.

Born on 14th August 1989 and raised in Shepparton, Victoria, Ryan Sidebottom made his Sheffield Shield debut towards the end of 2012-13 season. He was given a state contract in the next summer and though he couldn’t add to his appearance tally for the Bushrangers matches in the 2013-14 season, he retained his contract for the 2014-15 season.
