One of the finest Twenty20 players, Chris Gayle has plied his trade all across the globe for several T20 competition which keeps on happening all through the world.
In just a few month’s time, Gayle will turn 39. He is not getting any younger. There is also no doubt about the fact that he is in the twilight of his career and can call it quits anytime soon.
However, despite nearing 39, the burly Windies cricketer is still fit and his fielding exploits are quite brilliant even being past his prime.
Gayle’s exceptional fielding qualities go on to prove that he has a very sharp reflex. It was evident from a tremendous catch which the “Universe Boss” took during the grand finale of the Global T20 Canada against Cricket Windies B team.
It was the last ball of 14th over from spinner Fawad Ahmed. He bowled a delivery outside the off stump to Kavem Hodge. He attempted to punch the ball through the off side. However, the ball flew from his outside edge and quickly reached Gayle in the first slip. He reacted very sharply but missed on the 1st attempt.
Interestingly, as the ball was about to touch the ground, Gayle took out his right hand and it dramatically got stuck in the right hand while he was still lying on the ground.
