Watch: Gautam Gambhir Under ‘Huge Pressure’ While Facing His Daughter’s Bowling

Gautam Gambhir, during his illustrious career, faced some of the best bowlers in the history of the game. The southpaw, who was one of the architects of India’s two World Cup triumphs, faced the likes of Muttiah Muralitharan, Dale Steyn, James Anderson and many other great bowlers and it would be safe to say that he played them with utmost aplomb.

But while the southpaw faced the international bowlers without much pressure, he was under ‘huge pressure’ when he recently faced a bowler who was none other than his daughter, Aazeen. The World Cup-winning star faced his daughter’s bowling when he paid a visit to her school where he batted against her and admitted that it was a high-pressure job.

The southpaw took to Twitter to post the cute video where his daughter three-year old daughter could be seen bowling to him. And more importantly, Aazeen also knew how to trouble her father as she bowled ‘outside d off stump’.

“High pressure job facing my daughter Aazeen’s bowling at her school. Hell, even she knows d line has to be outside d off stump vs papa!!!” he wrote on Twitter along with the video.

Meanwhile, Gambhir has began the Ranji Trophy season on a great note. The Out-of-favour Indian opener recently scored a fine 86 off 122 against Uttar Pradesh. Prior to that, the 36-year old had scored a sublime 137 against Assam in the season-opener.

Gambhir’s international career, meanwhile, is totally off the track as of now. He had made a sensational return to the team last year but failure to make the limited-chances count soon saw him getting dropped and he is still waiting for a recall from the national selectors. So far, Gambhir has represented India in 58 Tests and 147 ODIs, scoring over 9000 runs with the help of 20 centuries and 56 half-centuries. He has also played 37 T20Is and has scored 932 runs including 7 fifties.
