Team India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant ignored the instruction and posed with the fans during the ongoing warm-up clash against Leicestershire.
Team India’s preparations for the upcoming Test against England have been rocked after their skipper Rohit Sharma tested positive for Covid-19. The BCCI confirmed that the batting star tested positive after a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) conducted on Saturday (June 25).
A release from BCCI stated that Rohit has been placed under isolation at the team hotel and in under the care of the board’s medical team. He will take an RT-PCR on Sunday to confirm and ascertain the severity of the infection.
And as Rohit recovers from Covid-19, a video of Rishabh Pant ignoring the instructions in order to meet fans has started circulating on the social media. The incident reportedly took place on day 3 of the ongoing warm-up game between India and Leicestershire.
There were clear instructions that Team India players would not sign autographs or take photos with the fans during the warm-up game. The decision was taken to ensure that players do not contract the Covid-19 virus. Pant, however, paid little attention to the instruction and posed with some young fans. In the video, he was seen signing a bat for a young fan before posing with a large group of fans.
