Ishant Sharma speaks how English conditions will help the bowlers bowl long spells

Back then in 2014 when India toured England for a long series under Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s captaincy, the 28-year wait to win at Lord’s cricket ground has been achieved.

Well, it was a match best remembered for Ajinkya Rahane’s stunning century on a pure green top and Ishant Sharma’s breath-taking spell.

The lanky Ishant broke into the scene with his remarkable bowling spell. His series of bouncers bamboozled the English batsmen which were perfectly helped by the Dhoni’s masterplan.

Meanwhile, Indian team is once again set to take on England in Tests.

Ishant Sharma went on say that India has eight to nine bowlers, unlike earlier years. He furtherly spoke about the diet plan and the work management by the fast bowlers which is essential to survive.

”Everybody used to say that India can’t produce fast bowlers. Now we have probably eight to nine good fast bowlers, anytime who can play Test cricket for India. We have a pretty good chance to win a series in England and Australia, because of the kind of attack we have,” Ishant told Daily Telegraph in an interview.

“We have become so much fitter because there is so much knowledge, and there is so much contribution from everyone. If you want to play a good amount of cricket for the country, you need to work hard. You can’t just bowl or just bat. You need to go into the gym, go running, look after your recovery system, your diet and everything,” he added.

Injuries a cause of worry:

Despite India having a strong bowling department, injury scared the team pretty badly, The absence of Jasprit Bumrah has made a major difference in One-day International. Much of the same, India will be without the services of pace spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

However, India is strong in their mindset and hoping the other bowlers to step up for the cause.

Surprisingly, India announced the 18-member squad for the series in which picking playing XI would be a hell of a task for team management.
