West Indies Under 19 beat India in the final of the Under 19 World Cup by 5 wickets at the Sher E Bangla Stadium, Mirpur. It was an exceptional performance by the West Indies team who outplayed India in all departments.
Chasing a total of 146, the West Indies innings got off to a poor start losing Pope. Then Heytmer and Imalach put on 23 for the second wicket before Imlach was dismissed. The captain Hetymer and Carty steadied the innings 41 for the third wicket. The West Indies innings lost 3 wickets and India came back into the match reducing visitors to 77 for 5.
