In the 12th edition of the 2019 World Cup, West Indies is widely considered as the Dark Horse for the marquee event. The ODI showpiece will kickoff with England taking on South Africa at The Oval on May 30.
The two-time World Cup-winning champions qualified for the event as the last team after Afghanistan. The earlier three times they played, they ended up winning the first two while making it to the final in the third. This adds an interesting fact for no other team has played so many World Cup finals in England.
With Pakistan’s current performances in the ODIs pretty poor, Windies has good chances to mark their first game, irrespective of being ranked below them.
