West Indies vs England 2017: Marlon Samuels Dropped, Darren Bravo Misses The Cut

Marlon Samuels has been ruled out of the West Indies squad for the ODI series against England. Samuels last played an ODI for the West Indies last year against Pakistan in UAE but was later dropped from the squad for the Zimbabwe tri-series.
There were hopes that Samuels might return to the squad as he was recently cleared to bowl in international cricket as his one-year ban was lifted by ICC last week, which could have helped him to get a place in the squad as an all-rounder but the selectors decided not to give him a go. It is to be noted that Samuels was the highest run-scorer for his team in the Pakistan ODI series as the veteran all-rounder scored 116 runs in the three games but was still left out of the squad.
Along with him, there was no place for Darren Bravo either, who last year lost his cool after being offered a grade C contract by the Board and called WICB President an idiot on Twitter. He was later pulled out of the tri-series but there was new that he might have a talk with the WICB President to sort out the issue.
Jason Holder has been retained as the captain of the side with the squad including likes of Carlos Brathwaite, Kraig Brathwaite, Devendra Bishoo and Evin Lewis.
The first two ODIs will be played in Antigua on March 3 and 5 respectively with the final game to be played on March 9 in Barbados.
West Indies Squad: Jason Holder (Captain), Devendra Bishoo, Carlos Brathwaite, Kraigg Brathwaite, Jonathan Carter, Miguel Cummins, Shane Dowrich, Shannon Gabriel, Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph, Evin Lewis, Jason Mohammed, Ashley Nurse, Kieran Powell, Rovman Powell.
