West Indies vs India 2022: Cricket West Indies (CWI) and the BCCI, on Wednesday, announced Team India’s upcoming tour of the West Indies. The Men in Blue will visit the Caribbean outfit for only limited-overs series.

Both the teams will play 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is against each other. Team India’s tour will get underway on July 22 and end on August 7. India will leave for the West Indies directly from England.

The Men in Blue’s UK tour will come to an end on July 17. The ODI series and three T20Is will be hosted across Trinidad and Tobago and St Kitts & Nevis. On the other hand, the last two T20Is are scheduled to take place in Fort Lauderhill, Florida in the USA.

The three ODIs will be played on July 22, 24 and 27 respectively at Port of Spain’s Queen’s Park Oval before the T20I series gets underway. The first T20I will be held at Brian Lara Stadium (Port of Spain) on July 29 and followed by two games at St Kitt’s Warner Park on August 1 and 2 respectively. Both the teams will then move to the USA for the last two T20Is on August 6 and 8 at the Broward County Stadium in Florida.

Nicholas Pooran on West Indies vs India series:

After the announcement of the schedule, West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran spoke about the upcoming battle against India. The southpaw said that he and his teammates are eager to restore West Indies’ trademark game.

“We have a young team that is eager to restore the brand of cricket the West Indies team is known for playing. As I take charge of this team, our ambition is to always be competitive, as we look to use this series to fine tune our preparations for the upcoming T20 and 50 Over World Cups,” said Pooran
