Windies Vs India 2017: Twitter Reacts As Windies Fail To Capitalize On A Good Start
Dec 31, 2018 at 1:59 PM
On a batting friendly wicket, the home side had a decent start as they were 39 in first eight overs without a loss of any wicket. They received the first blow in ninth over and after that wicket came at regular intervals. By 76 runs, three of the Windies batsmen were back in the pavilion and tensions brew in the local camp.
Jason Mohammed and Shai Hope did light some hope with a partnership of 49 amongst themselves but a bizarre wicket of Jason saw Windies losing their track and managing only a score of 205 on the board.
Indian spinners were keeping the pressure off by not giving away runs, which was evident by fact that both Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja just leaked 63 runs in 20 overs they sent down. Pacers made use of it and grabbed wickets at a time where Windies could have run away with an advantage but this was not the case.
Again, India is chasing a low target and it will be a tricky one. Visitors have to assure that they plan the chase, so as there is no scope of any error in the later part of the game.
Meanwhile, Twitter was quick to analyse Windies batting on the day. Let’s have a look at some best of the tweets –
This Shai Hope must be very shy. Gently knocking back half-volleys to bowler and short extra-cover. Shai 'hopes' to emulate Dhoni #IndvsWI

I suspect the captain and the coach would be disappointed with Kyle Hope's shot. Had everything going for him and gave it away.
