In a crucial Semi-Final match between India and South Africa, India beat them to enter the Finals of 2014 ICC World Twenty20. We shall look at the players during this match who made a huge impact over the game with their outstanding performances.

5. SR Raina:

Suresh Raina entered the crease when 40 needed of last 4 over, but Raina smashed 21 off just 10 balls bringing the equation to 6 off 9 balls before exiting. He also bowled decently as he bowled 4 overs conceding 35. Out of which 17 runs came in a single over but came back well after it.

4. JP Duminy:

Known as one of South Africa all-rounders, Duminy has done quite well with him. He played an unbeaten knock of 45 off 40 balls ending the innings on high note. He started with ball and went for 14 off first over. But he came back well to consider just 15 runs next 2 overs.

3. RA Ashwin:

Ashwin will be called for his amazing bowling in semi-final. He bowled with different tactics to each batsman and at the end got successful. Hashim Amla’s dismissal by him was a delivery of century where this off-spinner did a leg-spinner bowling around the wicket. He took three wickets conceding just 22 runs.

2. Faf du Plessis:

Faf du Plessis played a captain’s knock. He batted extraordinarily and helped them to score big total. He smashed the spinners once getting set and didn’t respect anyone. He led from the front even on the field very well despite of a loss.

1. Virat Kohli:

Known as Mr. Consistency, he has been showing consistent performances in recent times and his ability to chase. He scored 72 runs of 44 balls he just face. He played yet another matured innings under pressure remained unbeaten and hitting the winning runs. He didn’t leave any bowler as he went over everyone.
