The orange city “Nagpur” is all set to host the first match of the main round of the T20 World Cup 2016. The match will be played in Vidarbha cricket association stadium. Vidarbha cricket ground has a capacity of 45000. The first international match on this ground was played in the year 2009 when the Indian team took on the visiting Australian team in a one-day affair.

Talking of T20I, the first T20I match was played in the year 2009 between India and Sri Lanka in which the visiting side sealed a comfortable victory against the home team.
In the first match of the main round, the Indian team will take on a New Zealand side on this ground with a motive to end the winning streak of the visitors.
