India Under-19 sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal is excited to play his maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) season for Rajasthan Royals (RR). The youngster believes that he will get to learn more from his experienced teammates. He is keen to learn from star batter Steve Smith apart from England duo Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes.
The 18-year-old came into limelight after his prolific stunt in the ICC U19 World Cup 2020. For his stunning performance, he was awarded the Player of the Tournament. Although his good, could not help India lift the title of the U19 World Cup.
Before featuring in the mega event, he grabbed the eyeballs of selectors with his appearance in domestic games. The IPL franchise Mumbai Indians (MI), Royals, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had a bidding war in the auction 2020.
Well, the Royals bagged the player for INR 2.40 crore.

On Monday, while talking to India Today, the youngster seemed excited to play with the greatest players like Smith, Stokes, and Buttler.
“For me, it is a very good opportunity to play in the IPL for Rajasthan Royals because I can go and talk with the worlds’ best players like Steve Smith, Ben Stokes, and Jos Buttler. I am really excited to learn from them. It will be exciting for me as it is my first IPL and I will try my best to do whatever I can,” Jaiswal said.

Further, Yashasvi also talked about his struggle in his life to fulfil his dream. The Southpaw believes that hard work always pays off in the end.
Talking about his performance in the mega event, the opening batsman Yashasvi remained not out on three occasions in six games. He also scored an unbeaten century against Pakistan in the semi-final and led his team to final.
Also, he mustered four half-centuries in the tournament. All in all, he scored 400 runs, to become the highest run-scorer in the event.
