You Can Fire Me If You Want But I am Not Resigning
Former Zimbabwe fast bowler and the current coach of the national team Heath Streak has refused to resign from his post. Along with the technical staffs, they have received an ultimatum to leave by 3 PM, today or face the prospect of being thrown away. As per reports, it is learned that the Zimbabwe Cricket Board (ZC) have issued an ultimatum to the entire technical staff after Zimbabwe failed to qualify for next year’s Cricket World Cup slated to be played in England and Wales. Zimbabwe were the hosts for the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers.
Making a terse comment Streak said that he won’t resign and if they want they can sack him.
I am not resigning, were given until 3 pm today (Friday) to resign or be fired but I am not resigning, they can fire me if they want. I cannot say much at the moment.
Zimbabwe won 5 matches in the Qualifiers out of the nine clashes. They lost a couple; one was abandoned while one ended in a tie. Sikandar Raza was the star performer for Zimbabwe all through the tournament. However, his heroics weren’t enough to help them book a place in the World Cup next year.
