Angry Yuvraj Singh took to Twitter to hit back at a media house which previously reported his alleged anger during an event. It was claimed by a cricket website yesterday that the newly IPL champion was literally upset when he was asked about the Indian captaincy, whether Kohli should lead in all formats.
India’s Test captain Virat Kohli on Friday hosted a charity dinner in association with Smile Foundation to raise funds for the empowerment of underprivileged children. Superstars cricketers, Bollywood celebrities, and industry bigwigs attended the function, which catered to a great cause.
Before the start of the event, however, a minor incident featuring India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh stirred some unwanted controversy.
The stylish left-hander lost his cool when asked about the prospects of Virat Kohli taking over the full-time captaincy of the Indian team.
“I’m here to talk about the event. I’m not here to talk about cricket. Okay? Thank you,” said Yuvi as he stormed off without taking any further questions.
Yuvraj also took part in the charity football match organized to raise funds to support underprivileged kids. The match as it was called Celebrity Classico was played between Indian cricketers and Bollywood celebrities.

Yuvraj on Wednesday took to social networking site Twitter to share his views on his alleged angry gesture towards the media. He even asked the media house’s official Twitter handle what wrong did he say. Yuvi also went on to clarify that he was just being professional, and was not angry.
He won his first ever IPL title this year and this was Yuvraj’s fifth franchise Yuvraj since the inaugural IPL in 2008. From captaining Kings XI Punjab in the first two editions to the short-lived Sahara Pune Warriors in 2011, from being picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore and then again bought by the Delhi Daredevils, the 34-year-old finally has found the glorious moment he was waiting for at Hyderabad in the twilight of his career.
