Zaheer Khan Brutally Trolls Yuvraj Singh For Lazy Fielding

Yuvraj Singh, the veteran all-rounder, suffered a burn yesterday. Not in real but in the virtual world of Twitter after Zaheer Khan mocked his former teammate for the below – par fielding show during the ongoing Champions Trophy.

Zaheer Khan had a field day on Twitter during the final Group B game between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The exciting game had the former India fast bowler hooked to the proceedings and constantly tweeting about the match.

At one point, Sri Lanka nearly had the game in their pockets before skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and tail ender Mohammad Amir began pulling things back in favor of Pakistan. While witnessing the match-turning partnership, Zak posted a tweet opining about the unpredictable contest which was unfolding at that time.

This tweet had an unexpected reply.

It was from Yuvraj Singh. Yuvi mocked Zak for becoming active on Twitter all of a sudden to which the latter made a very amusing reaction.

This was a pretty motivating tweet in fact as Yuvraj Singh, these days doesn’t seem to be the old Yuvraj who was famous for his razor-sharp throws and acrobatic fielding. Age is surely catching up. But, Zak, who normally fielded in the final leg or the third man region for his entire career, showed no mercy and trolled him with the use of his wit.

Yuvraj Singh is en route to a special career milestone as he approached his 300th ODI match of his career. The, 35 year old, who made his debut in the same tournament (known as the ICC Knockout Trophy) way back in the year 2000, will most likely reach the record against Bangladesh against whom India will play in the semi-final of the Champions Trophy 2017.

Thus far, the left-hander has had a functional time in the tournament with 83 runs in three match including one fifty. Fans will hope for a good knock from him against Bangladesh to not only help India reach the finals but also make the 300th ODI highly memorable.

Zaheer Khan, on the other hand, recently got engaged to his long-time girlfriend and actress Sagarika Ghatge.
