5 things that can happen in this weekend’s FA cup ties

Nagendra / 13 February 2015

We are already into the fifth round of FA cup and here we look at the five possible things that might during the course of the weekend.

1) Arsenal to cruise

Having won 8 out of their last 10 games, Arsenal are hot favorites heading into the match. However, no one can be considered as favorites in a cup tie. With Middlesbrough already knocking out Premier League Champions Manchester City last month, the Gunners will be cautious of not letting Middlesbrough repeat such performance. This might be the case for Arsenal to cruise to the next round with many problems.

2) Manchester United to grind out another victory

Manchester United have been struggling to hit top form in the recent matches. They are facing heavy criticism for their inability to attack the opposition and also for their long ball approach. The recent match against Burnley even made home fans boo at them after a disappointing first half. They may have to work really haard against Preston if they want to win the match given their playing style and recent foem.

3) Bradford City to continue their FA Cup beating Sunderland

Bradford City have been a revelation this season in FA Cup with recently beating the best side in England this season, Chelsea with a margin of 4-2 in Stamford Bridge. Having achieved such a great task, beating Sunderland would be easier if they play with the same magnitude and potential they showed against Chelsea.

4) Pardew’s Palace may upset Liverpool

Playing inspirational football throughtout the season, Crystal Palace might just have the edge against Liverpool who are also on a good run. With Crystal Palace giving very close fight to the opposition in the every match they are playing recently along with the home advantage, Palace may just upset Liverpool at Selhurst Park.

5)  West Ham, Stoke, Leicester to get away wins

West Ham United might just come away with a win against West Bromwich Albion as they maintained a good team discipline against Southampton and Manchester United to manage draws in both the fixtures recently. Stoke City visit Blackburn Rovers and they might win against them given the quality in the Stoke line-up. Leicester With a great dip of form for Aston Villa coupled with Leicester’s upset over Spurs, Leicester might just be the winner in this clash of the two sides battling to stay in the premier league.
