A View From The Stands Of Lionel Messi’s Goal For PSG Against Angers Has Left Fans In The Awe Of The World Champion

Lionel Messi never fails to amaze the ones watching him. And it was once again time for the ‘Messi show’ as he made his highly anticipated PSG return after being crowned as the world champion with Argentina. Messi had joined the PSG training last week, where he was honored by the club and his teammates for leading his country to the ultimate prize in Qatar.
He then made his debut as a world champion for the PSG against Angers in their Ligue 1 clash, as the 35-year-old continued his fine form for the Parisians. Messi was in the same mood as he was at the World Cup in Qatar, turning and twisting the opponents throughout the 90 minutes. He then capped-off a brilliant performance on the night with a goal, which was another piece of art from the ‘La Pulga’.
Reactions flood in after Lionel Messi ‘creates’ and ‘scores’ the goal himself
It has almost been the way Lionel Messi has always played; be it at Barcelona, Argentina or now PSG. The talismanic playmaker seems to wither create a goal for his teammates, or spark a move that eventually ends up in he himself finishing it off as well. The game against Angers witnessed something similar, as Messi was involved in both the goals the Parisians scored on the night.
First, he bagged a brilliant pre-assist for Hugo Ekitike’s opener, close-controlling a throw-in and then unleashing Nordi Mukiele on the right flank who then set-up the first goal. It was time then for the ‘GOAT’ to put his name on the score-sheet, as he did bag his first of the night in the 72nd minute. Another scintillating move involving Mukiele and Sergio Ramos, a fan footage of which from the stands of the Parc des Princes has gone viral.

As can be seen in the video, Lionel Messi initiates the move for his goal by dropping deep. He then quickly exchanges a deft one-two with Neymar, and then passes to Sergio Ramos with an exquisite outside-of-the-boot pass. Messi is still weaving through the Angers defence when Nordi Mukiele finds him with a precise ball, and the Argentine easily converts his first goal of the 2023. No wonder fans were left in the awe, as here are some of best reactions:
Started the move still finished it off classic Messi right there 🐐
