In a much awaited news it has been confirmed by Louis Van Gaal that, Manchester United vice-captain Michael Carrick has signed a one-year extension to his current contract. Van Gaal broke the news in his pre-match press conference ahead of United’s clash against Liverpool.
Michael Carrick started his first game in a while against Spurs after a lengthy spell out due to injury. Carrick’s impact on the team was widely visible as United played their best football of this season by steamrolling Spurs 3-0 in the first half.
