Liverpool face a massive clear out next season with likes of Steven Gerrard, Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambart, Kolo Toure, Brad Jones, Fabio Borini all set to leave the club this summer with the contract rebel Raheem Sterling undecided over his future at the club.
Another player who has joined the long list of Liverpool players heading for exit is their best defender Martin Skrtel. The Slovakian has expressed his interest of leaving the club next season and join the Serie A outfit Inter Milan.
Inter have seen a major uplift this season with their former manager Roberto Mancini taking over the managerial duties once again and the change in ownership has guaranteed a spending spree next season to bring them back on the map of global football.
Skrtel has identified Inter Milan as the best offer at the moment and is willing to join the club if Liverpool agree a selling price for the defender. The defender has 2 years left on his contract thus enabling Liverpool to get the best value for him. Skrtel has been one of the best defenders in the Premier League this season and could easily be valued around £20 million by the Anfield club.
Inter Milan have also earmarked Manchester City’s Yaya Toure as their main target for the summer with Mancini willing to pay up to £41 million including transfer fee and wages for a 3-year contract for the Ivorian midfield maestro.
