Anthony Martial wins Player of the Month award yet again

Martial has scooped up the player of the month award for over the past month as he proved to be source of solace for the disappointed fans. He has been in great form over the season and has proven to be the player who is saving Louis van Gaal the sack time and again. His performances over the season have been coming in at times when Manchester United looked like they will slide deep into the table with losses piling up.

The French youngster took the award with a sweeping 69 percent vote share over the month which is clearly a testament to the player of his importance to the team as well as the popularity of his amongst the fan base.

He scored against Wolfsburg and Norwich city over the month and has been the most likely to score or assist amongst the very insipid Manchester United attack.

He beat the like of Smalling and Blind, who finished second and third respectively, to the prize and was a contender for the player of the month award by the league itself. He won that award back in September as he made a superb impression over the opening month of his Old Trafford career.

Playing at such a high level after his £36 million pound move from AS Monaco was never expected and was hence showered with plaudits all over as Martial took the award with a sweeping vote too and became the first United player since Robin van Persie to do so, who won it in 2013.

The performances from the French teen should help United as they look to regain lost points over the upcoming half of the season.
