Arsenal’s hunt of signing a striker has reached Moscow where they have agreed personal terms with Dynamo Moscow forward Aleksandr Kokorin. According to Metro, the 24-year old striker is just a step away from becoming a Gunner star as he nears a January move to the Premier League.

Daily Star have reported a story where they claim that Kokorin has entered the final year of his contract and has no intentions of signing an extension either. Dynamo Moscow know that and are open to the idea of selling their star for as little as £4.5million.

Russian club know that if they do not sell him now, they will lose their star forward on a free transfer. Arsenal on the other hand are keen to add firepower to their squad after injuries to Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla. Arsene Wenger has a clear shot at the Premier League glory and signing a striker will enable him to push on towards his target.

Kokorin has scored 4 goals in 10 appearances so far this season and is the kind of player, Arsenal can do with at the moment. Olivier Giroud is the sole striker at the club as Theo Walcott is having to play in the wide role with Aaron Ramsey shifting to midfield due to injuries suffered by Alexis Sanchez and santi Cazorla.
