Arsene Wenger almost rued his lack of spending in the summer transfer window at the start of the season when the squad was severely hit by injuries recently.

Though the injury list is easing out, Wenger is keen on bringing some reinforcements and to bolster the strength of his squad before the end of the January transfer window.

Football Insider sources have revealed that the Gunners are confident of sealing deals for two Nigerian sensations by the end of next week.

It was revealed earlier last week that the Gunners were in advanced talks to recruit midfield wonder kids Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze to their academy.

The recruitment sources from the London franchise have informed Football insider that the London giants have reached an agreement on a double deal for Nwakali and Chukwueze.

The teenagers need visas and work permits to play in England but the Gunners are confident that they can acquire them by next week. However, the deals are still in limbo as Wenger awaits clearance.

At 17 years of age, Nwakali was named as the player of the tournament recently while Chukwueze also had some impressive games this season.

Nwakali is eligible to sign contracts having turned 17 but Chukwueze will only be eligible to sign a scholarship deal.

Arsenal were among a host of Premier League giants that were scouting the Nigerian youngsters and it is now understood that the Gunners have stolen the race ahead of Manchester City for their signing.

This news comes on the back of a 5.2 million move for Elneny this week. Elneny was unveiled officially as an Arsenal player after he was granted a UK visa on Thursday.

Do you think the young signing will make a difference for Arsenal in the future?
