Arsenal continue to add world class midfielders to their shortlist for the summer transfer window swoop. The most recent name to have re-surfaced is Borussia Dortmund’s German ace Ilkay Gundogan.
As per the recent reports, Arsenal are preparing a second bid worth £20 million for the player who could not join the Gunners in the January transfer window when Arsene Wenger had tabled a £18.3 million bid for the German.
Ilkay Gundogan will leave Dortmund next season and is looking for a new club with Premier League tipped to be his next home. Gundogan has been constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent seasons. Most recently Gundogan was rumored to be a part of £55 million Man United raid on Dortmund along with Mats Hummels.
Arsenal are themselves in quest to find proper midfield players amid the news of Jack Wilshere going out of the Emirates stadium next season while Mikel Arteta and Matthiew Flamini are both on a declining form which would open the doors for a move for Gundogan to Arsenal.
Arsenal are keen on bringing the German ace to the Premier League next season with a reported £20 million bid being readied for the summer. Arsenal are also linked with a summer move for Sami Khedira, William Carvalho and Morgan Schneiderlin. Seeing all these names, Arsenal are all but sure to have a stronger run next season.
