As per the latest reports, Arsenal have officially launched a £29.4m bid for the Napoli star striker Gonzalo Higuain. The 29-year old has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United showing interest for the Argentine.
The Gunners had come close to signing the former Real Madrid star back in 2013 but the 29-year old eventually moved to Serie A outfit Napoli. Higuain is looking for a move away from Italy this summer and Napoli want to cash on him.
Napoli want at least £36.8m for the striker, but Arsenal should need to up their offer to get the striker.
Higuain might be tempted to move to Emirates this summer as the Gunners have secured Champions Legue football for next season and Napoli has failed to finish in top-4 of Serie A which will see them compete for Europa League in 2015/16 season.
Reports also suggest Gunners are ready to offer £84,000 per week contract for the striker, a fairly low wage considering the quality of the player. Should Arsenal get the striker for £30m and a low wages, this would easily be the deal of the season!
