Arturo Vidal To Chelsea: Massive Update Comes From Insider!!

Bookmakers BetStars have priced Chelsea as 5/2 favourites to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal during the January window.

Blues manager Antonio Conte, who worked with Vidal during his time at Juventus, has been linked with a £34million bid for the Chilean.

“Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is currently winning the race to sign his former Juventus player Arturo Vidal, as speculation hots up that the Chilean is on his way out of Bayern,” said a BetStars spokesman.

“And Chelsea are our favourites at 5/2 to lure Vidal away from the Allianz.”

Buoyed by the massive payout after selling Oscar for £60million, Conte will lodge an initial bid of around £34m for the Bayern Munich star.

But Bayern are likely to reject that and hold out for closer to £40m.

Conte will feel confident in luring the Chilean to Stamford Bridge should Bayern accept a bid.

Vidal, 29, won Serie A in each season under Conte and was integral to Juve’s success.

He was also named the club’s Player of the Year in 2013 and placed in the Serie A Team of the Year in 2013 and 2014.

However, Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti has laughed off rumours that the Chilean could join Chelsea this month, declaring them “absolute rubbish”.

Conte has indicated his side could look to do business in the January transfer window.

The Blues have been in sensational form over the past few months and have won 13 Premier League games in a row following their 4-2 success over Stoke City.

There have been fears their form could suffer should players such as Diego Costa or Eden Hazard suffer injuries in the second half of the season.

Chelsea will hope to continue their impressive winning streak when they take on Tottenham on Wednesday. They are currently five points ahead of second-place Liverpool, who drew 2-2 against Sunderland on Monday.

Fellow title rivals Arsenal take on Bournemouth on Tuesday, while Manchester United also closed the gap on the top four thanks to their win against West Ham.
