Atletico De Kolkata worried over Postiga's injury

With only 48 hours left for his team’s crucial away match in the ISL against FC Goa, Athletico De Kolkata’s Spanish coach seems worried about his marquee player, former World Cupper Helder Postiga’s ligament injury which he suffered in the team’s opening match against Chennaiyn FC.

Although, the ATK team management as well as coach and the players are trying to shut their mouth on the issue, questions have already raised in a meeting by the team’s top officials, held on Monday evening at the team hotel that whether Postiga would ultimately be full fit.

Questions have also been raised whether the team management will have to search for the substitute of Postiga.

The striker who struck two opportunistic goals in the team’s opening match has reportedly torn the ligament of his right foot. And the franchise team’s top brass has reportedly decided to go on wait and watch policy on this issue.

If Postiga fails to be fit even before the team’s opening home match against Kerala Blasters on 13th October, then ATK team management may think of substitute for Postiga.

At the same time, Habas seems to be in a little anxiety also with the unavailability of his two key defenders Arnab Mondol and Rino Anto who have gone to Turkmenistan with the senior Indian squad to take in the World Cup qualifier.

On the contrary, FC Goa’s legendary Brazilian coach Zico seems quite content as he will have the full squad against ATK on 8th October. Zico must want to win the tie as he lost to Habas in his home match last season.
