While Liverpool fans are looking for the good news of Jurgen Klopp taking charge at Anfield, a bad news is coming their way as Spanish media Sport reports that Barcelona are looking to make an offer for Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho in January.

According to Sport, Coutinho is a priority to Barcelona in January as they look to bolster their midfield.

Here is the front page of Sport which can be heartbreaking for Liverpool fans-

Andres Iniesta and Rafinha have raised concerns to Barcelona management with their injuries and the team is also not performing.

Barcelona always kept an eye on the Brazilian attacking midfielder’s progress to replace aging Iniesta for a long time.

The paper states that Barcelona will need to spend €30 million to land the South American, while it’s also reported that the Catalans tried to do a deal with Liverpool for Coutinho last summer, but that approach was rejected by the Reds.

Sport also revealed that Coutinho is willing to make a move to Camp Nou after the sacking of Brendan Rodgers.

Sport have also revealed that Real Madrid are also monitoring the situation and could make a last ditch attempt to hijack the deal for the flamboyant midfielder.

Coutinho to Barcelona rumor is getting pace in the last few weeks.

In the summer, Barcelona legend Ronaldinho told his former club to sign the 23-year-old Brazilian star who he believes to be is more than capable of filling in the boots of Andres Iniesta.

Next Barcelona star to comment about the Liverpool Player of the Year was former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez who hailed the Little Magician as the best player to grace the Premier League.

But the biggest hint came from Neymar who openly stated that he wants his best pal to join him at the European Champions.

Here is what Neymar said-

But Liverpool’s number 10 Philippe Coutinho told he is staying put at Liverpool – the grandeur and riches of Barcelona will have to wait.

He said: “I am totally focussed on Liverpool. I heard what Neymar said, but I want to do well with Liverpool. I am happy here and I hope this season will go well for us.”

“Of course it is a nice thing that he said. Everyone knows he’s my friend, but I am here and focused on Liverpool to help them do good things on the pitch, starting with beating Everton.”

But with the leading Spanish media now reporting about the strong interest from the two Spanish giants, we can anticipate a tug of war between the duo for the star midfielder in January.
