Bale flirts with Manchester United, Henderson on verge of contract extension

British media were doing overtime in trying to figure out a viable links to Gareth Bale’s rumoured summer move to Chelsea and if sources are to be believed, Chelsea lead the race ahead of their Manchester rivals City and United.

Bale has been widely tipped to join Manchester United if he moves back to the Premier League but in an astonishing news by the leading newspapers in England it is now believed that Chelsea are ready to break the bank and meet Bale’s release clause worth of £75 million.

Gareth Bale has come under severe scrutiny by his own Real Madrid fans. More recently, Bale’s car was attacked by some Madrid fans after the Classico defeat. It is getting further confirmed that Bale will leave Madrid next season and Chelsea look poised to spoil United’s plan of signing the Welshman.

In other news, soon-to-be Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is believed to be very close in signing his contract extension with the Anfield club. Henderson has been Liverpool’s captain in Gerrard’s absence due to injuries and suspension in recent times and has been one of the standout players under Brendan Rodgers.

Henderson was offered his news deal which he refused to sign due to the odd differences. Man City and Barcelona were ready with an offer for the Englishman but now it appears that all is well between the player and the club and Henderson will sign the new contract before the season ends.
