Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin could be on his way back to his home club as Barcelona officials land in London to finalize a deal, according to reports in Spain.

Diaro Gol claims that the Spanish defender has been declared the priority transfer for the club and a transfer for the talented youngster could be agreed very quickly as right-back is the position that Barcelona are looking to fill up before making further transfer moves.

The 22-year old who had signed a new deal with Arsenal earlier in the season, is finding life difficult at Emirates as he is finding it difficult to get into the starting lineup as Arsene Wenger has changed the formation to a back three. Barcelona director Robert Fernandez has admitted that they make a move for the right back earlier and the club are now taking necessary actions to take back their academy product.

He said: “We can do something there [at right-back], it’s true. Signing [one] could be important.

“Bellerin is a player who has a contract at Arsenal. He is a magnificent player, undoubtedly, but there are more right-backs [who could be interested].”

However, Bellerin could not only be their potential option as the Blaugrana officials are also looking at a potential deal to activate Everton defender Gerard Deulofeu’s buyback clause. The 23-year old is currently on a loan deal with AC Milan and is another La Masia product who left Barcelona in search of regular playing time.

Fernandez said of the AC Milan loanee: “We have the option to incorporate him by activating the clause. We can do it, we will think about it. He is playing well and as a starter.

“I like him. He’s a young player who came from our academy. He has good conditions to help the team.”

Bellerin remains Barcelona’s top transfer target this summer  as the 22-year old Spaniard is one of the best right backs in the world but the officials are also ready to have backup plans if the move do not fall through as Arsenal will be resistant to let their star leave.
