Bayern Munich's strongest starting XI for the next season

Though Guardiola won the Bundesliga last season in record time, they were not very successful in cup competitions. They did not win another trophy and for someone of his repute, Guardiola would not have been happy with the outcome. However, some of the blame has to be put on the number of injuries the team suffered during the business end of the season. Though Bayern were not involved in a lot of transfer activity, they will want their players to step up to the test and give the fans something more to cheer about.

With not many days left for the new season, the biggest question on the minds of the supporters would be the team that the manager will play in the new season. In this article we will try to establish the best starting XI of Bayern Munich –

Defense –

Manuel Neuer, arguably the best Goal Keeper at the moment in world football will be the undisputed number one at the club for most of the season. Jerome Boateng and Dante will start at the centre of the defense for Bayern Munchen in the new season. They have had some bad games in the last season but still are experienced enough to come back strongly in the new season.

David Alaba and Philip Lahm will be the first choice wing backs at the club and will be backed up by Benatia and Rafinha for the bust part of the season. They have a settled defensive line and will want to be solid at the back.

Xabi Alonso will play the role of the defensive mid-fielder for the club. He gives plenty of support in front of the back four and acts as the base from which the club can start their attacking moves. Thiago and Javi Martinez may find it hard to play for the club in important matches but will replace Alonso in cup games. The new buy Arturo Vidal may well be played beside Alonso to give more support in the mid-field.

Most of the mid-field for Bayern Munich adds to the attack of the club and this makes it harder for the opponents to stop them from scoring. Guardiola will want to make his mid-field even more dominant and will want to run away with the title again this season.

The club has one of the best attacking line-ups in Europe at the moment. Without injuries, they have a team that can outscore the best in Europe. But with the likes of Ribery and Robben doubtful for the start of the season, Thomas Muller and the new boy Douglas Costa will start for the club. Robert Lewandowski and Gotze might just make the starting XI for most of the first part of the new season.

A full strength Bayern squad can give the fans one of the most exciting football on the planet. But the depth and quality in the squad will make sure that they still compete at the highest level not only in the domestic cup but also against Europe’s Elite.
