English Premier League outfit Arsenal finally have some good news in their search for a striker this summer.

The manager has been looking all over Europe for quality strikers but deals for Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain fell through leaving the club in deeper search for an alternative.

However, if the internet world is to be believed, the search has now ended for the Gunners.

Over the past week, the Premier League club was linked with a move for Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi. The 23-year old has been one of the in-form strikers for two seasons now in Europe and he is desperate for a move away from Milan this summer according to reports.

Arsene Wenger identified him as a priority this summer after missing out on other targets and it now looks like he may finally get his man this summer.

The Argentine international has so far scored 43 goals in 78 club appearances in the last two seasons and is a perfect fit for Wenger’s style of play.  The current strikers at the squad, Olivier Giroud, and Danny Welbeck have not been consistent enough for a top of the table club in the Premier League and Icardi is an upgrade on the duo.

So it is no surprise that the Gunners are ready to improve Icardi’s wages to £96,000 a week from his current £61,000-a-week salary.

But as already mentioned there is no official word on any of these and the only post that got the internet chirping came from Icardi’s wife who is also his agent.

An Italian newspaper revealed that Wanda Icardi, Mauro Icardi’s spouse is in London and is in talks with the Gunners over a move for the 23-year old.

She posted a message on Twitter wishing all her friends a happy day from London and this has seen a number of rumors spread around about Icardi’s move to London.

Here is the tweet:

The player’s agent is also active on other social media sites like Instagram and is constantly in touch with her followers. Here are some of her recent posts from that site:

The player has not yet made an official contract with the London club but it increasingly looks like he might end up playing for the Gunners come the next season.

Wanda Icardi, the player’s agent may have a huge say in his move come to the end of the transfer window.

Do you think Icardi will move to Arsenal this summer?
