Well, it’s said that football is a funny game and that we need to expect the unexpected in this sport. But how often do we actually see something Bizarre happening in the game today? A football fan’s imagination goes to fathomless bounds when he watches a game. So we at Sportzwiki, decided to honor that crazy fan’s vivid mind and jot down few bizarre things that would’ve brought a smile to someone but just wasn’t meant to be this time.

1. Lionel Messi bullying Yaya Toure and Fernandinho –

The Argentine forward Lionel Messi is known for his remarkable goal scoring ability but his giant-like structure also enables him to grit his way physically against the biggest and the meanest on the field. It was no different during the clash between Manchester City and Barcelona when Lionel Messi single handedly bullied the menacing Luis Fernandinho and Yaya Toure.

2. Arjen Robben beaten for pace by Per Mertasacker –

The Dutch wing forward Arjen Robben might be one of the quickest in the game at present but when it comes down to a one-on-one sprint against Per ‘Lightning’ Mertasacker, not many have claimed glory in that battle of quickness against the German defender. Evidently there was just one winner in this one with Per leaving Arjen in his trail numerous times during the game.

3. Demichelis having a perfect game –

There haven’t been many defenders in Europe this season than the Argentine Demichelis of Manchester City and if City were to put up any fight against the Catalan giants, Demichelis had to be at his usual best. Not failing to disappoint he put in yet another close-to-perfect performance against a formidable Barca attack and has a rock in the City defense.

4. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring with his nose –

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored from bicycle kicks, Karate kicks, volleys from outside the box, from the edge of the box, screamers from 40 yards out, an acrobatic 50-yarder and rumor has it that he has even scored a hat-trick having taking a short nap during training. Having ticked almost every possible way of scoring a goal on the football pitch, Zlatan after scoring a penalty and his team leading 0-3 away from home, decided to dribble past 3 defenders, chip the ball over the goalkeeper, brought it on his chest and finally scored with his ever-so-striking nose. Rumor has it that his next challenge is scoring with his ears, with a blindfold on, standing on his left hand. Zlatan makes it possible.
