According to Sky Sports, Bordeaux are keen to sign Arsenal’s full-back Mathieu Debuchy on a permanent deal.
The French club has reportedly opened up talks with Arsenal over a potential transfer for the 30-year old who has spent the second half of last season with Bordeaux.
Debuchy has managed to make 9 Ligue 1 appearances with Bordeaux and the club is willing to sign him. The Frenchman is currently on pre-season tour with Arsenal.
The French international has joined Bordeaux on a loan in an attempt to gain a place in French national team for Euro 2016 but failed to do so because of his injury.
Debuchy has fell behind in the pecking order with the emergence of Hector Bellerin who is touted as the best young fullback in Europe. Since making a move to Emirates from NewCastle in 2014 for £12 million, the French International has only managed 22 appearances for the North London club.
The player has also started against Lens in Arsenal’s pre-season game and still has three years left on his contract with the Gunners. However, Bordeaux is also ready for a loan deal if a permanent deal is not on cards.
