According to latest reports from Germany, Arsenal young winger, Serge Gnarby could be on his way to Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin.
The 21-year old is into his last year on his Arsenal contract and could be available for a cut-price deal this summer.
The German club are reportedly willing to sign a winger and Gnarby fits their bill perfectly. The player is in the form of his life in the ongoing Rio Olympics as he has already scored three goals in as many games.
Gnarby has failed to cement his place at Arsenal first team as he was sent on loan to West From last season but was recalled as he managed only one Premier League appearance in his loan spell.
SportBild claims Hertha could sign Gnarby for around £1.7m as he is currently in the last year of his contract.
German Olympic coach Horst Hrubesch has taken a dig at Arsenal for not trusting the youngster.
“He did really well twice, but that doesn’t come as a surprise to me,” Hrubesch said.
“What annoys me is that people at his club have never given him enough trust during that time.
“And you can see now what an important player he can be and at what level he can play at.”
Hertha Berlin are also interested to loan the player if Arsenal are not willing to sell the player in a permanent deal.
